Pearl Braid
Alice and Olivia is notorious for bringing us soft accents and romantic looks that we can wear all year round.
The theme for this year was whimsical with fresh faced girls and lavender accents.
This year’s style featured demure sweaters, boho dresses and fanciful skirts that showed a woman’s effortless femininity with a twist we loved.
The hairstyles that Alice and Olivia selected for the showcase were playful yet romantic. Our favourite, the Pearl Braid, is a hairstyle that you can rock from day to night with ease and have it look feminine yet edgy. It gives us room for easy transitions and can be customised to suit any hair type.

Step one:
Prep hair with the TRESemmé Platinum Strength Repair and Protect shampoo and conditioner.
Step two:
Spritz the TRESemmé Translucent Dry Shampoo from root to ends to ensure that the hair has a fresh look.
Step three:
Separate hair into two even sections on both sides with a clean centre part from the hairline to the nape of the neck.
Step four:
Reverse french braid each of the sides through the front hairline, keeping the hair low and braiding it over the ears, and secure with an elastic.
Step five:
Use your fingers to gently pull part the braid for a softer finish and spray each braid with the TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray.
Step six:
Stick on self-adhesive pearls throughout each of the braids, beginning at the roots.
Step seven:
Once finished, spray TRESemmé Extra Hold Hairspray again to lock the look and pearls in place.
Editor’s Tip:
To maintain a clean and centre part pat the hair down after applying the TRESemmé Translucent Dry Shampoo.
To spice up the look and add edge, switch up the pearls for some diamond studs.
