Our favourite moments from the Sun Met 2020

The Sun Met is all about horse-racing thrills, entertainment and high fashion. The theme for this year’s auspicious event was "African Luxury" and it allowed fashionistas and celebrities to bring their best foot forward by showing off beautiful prints, African head wrap styles and their gorgeous hair.

TRESemmé gave one lucky winner VIP treatment with the help of DSTV and E! and we enjoyed the overall experience.

We got to meet the winner of the Sun Met 2020 experience

The winner of the Sun Met 2020 experience was Rorisang Moeketsi, a 23-year-old lady from Tembisa. We were blown away by her smile and energetic spirit. We couldn’t wait to style her hair!

We also gave her a gift bag filled with TRESemmé products that are suitable for natural hair, braided hairstyles, and weaves!

We loved styling our winner and giving her a make over.

This bang frames her face so well and the high bun gives her a sophisticated and elegant look. To keep her look in place and to keep flyaways at bay, we used the TRESemmé Extra Hold Styling Hair Spray which also adds a healthy shine to her look.

However, we can’t take all the credit for this stunning look, fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee designed this masterpiece gown which was perfect for the event’s theme - African Luxury.

We got to see some gorgeous hairstyles

There’s something about a high ponytail that makes you own the room. We loved this high braided ponytail hairstyle from actress and model Nandi Mbatha.

We also got to see Miss South Africa 2019 finalist Chuma Matsaluka, who rocked this high braided ponytail but with her own unique touch. Her hair was laid, and she slayed!
